Studies on the Concurrent Administrations of Medicines(¥²)

Abstract
The studies were carried out to evaluated the hepatotoxicities of carbon tetrachloride in rats by concurrent administrations of Sodiho-Tang and silymarin, Daeshiho-Tang and silymarin.
The results obtained were as follows;
1. The activities of s-GPT, s-GOT and s-LDH induced by 20% CCl_4(5§¢/kg, olive oil) were significantly decreased by the concurrent administrations of silymarin+Soshiho-Tang(100+200§·/§¸) and silymarin+Daeshiho-Tang(100+100§·/§¸) respectively.
2. s-ALP activities induced by 20% CCl_4(5§·/§¸, olive oil) were significantly inhibited by the administrations of silymarin+Soshiho-Tang(100+100§·/§¸) and Daeshiho-Tang(100§·/§¸), but were not decreased by all concurrent administrations of silymarin+Daeshiho-Tang single administrations of them.
3. Livers of control rats(20% CCl_4 in olive oil, 5§·/§¸) were shown remarkable fatty changes, necrosises and inflammatory cellular infiltrations around centrilobular and midzonal area associated with congestion in central vein and sinusoids. The fatty changes of control rats were improved by the administrations of silymarin(100§·/§¸), Soshiho-Tang(100 and 200§·/§¸) and Daeshiho-Tang(100§·/§¸).
Especially, all pathologic changes of control rat livers were significantly improved by concurrent administrations of silymarin+Soshiho-Tang(100+100§·/§¸), silymarin+Soshiho-Tang(100+200§·/§¸) and silymarin+Daeshiho-Tang(100+100§·/§¸) more than single administrations of them respectively.
